Where can I buy my ESTO pass?

Where can I pick up my ESTO pass?

Pass purchasers will be receiving more specific information from the Executive Committee by e-mail. Passes will be available in Tallinn, Tartu and Helsinki from the 1st of June. 

If I don’t want to buy an ESTO pass, but would like to attend a few of the events, is it possible to buy individual tickets?

Yes, single tickets will become available in May. However, the number of tickets available will depend on how many spots are left after pass sales end. Pass-holders have priority for all events.

Are there any free events in the ESTO programme?

Yes, quite a few, for example: in Helsinki the Arts-, Crafts- and Design Market and the Opening Ceremonies at Helsinki Cathedral and Senate Square; in Tartu the ESTO Song concert in Tartu Town Square and the St. John’s Church service; in Tallinn the Victims of Communism Memorial visitation and ceremony at Maarjamäe and sport tournaments.

When I travel to Helsinki from Tallinn, how do I organise my trip?

ESTO pass-holders and performers will be given a discount code to use when purchasing their ticket for the Tallink ship of their choice. The discount code can be used for trips on the Tallinn-Helsinki line from June 27th to August 6th 2019. View the Tallink timetable HERE >>
ESTO pass-holders will receive the discount code from the Executive Committee newsletter, performers will receive the discount code from the Opening Concert contact person upon registration. The discount code is active for bookings until 15 April 2019. Everyone can reserve their tickets through the Tallink ticket purchase website  www.tallink.ee.

The discount code applies to available seats.

Will there be luggage storage organised in Helsinki?

Luggage storage will be available for distant travellers June 27th, 13.00-17.00 in the Circus Helsinki rooms beside the Helsinki Estonian House and June 28th at the Helsinki Cathedral.

Will transportation to the harbour be organised in Helsinki?

Busses will be taking performers, organisers and ESTO pass-holders from the Senate Square opening ceremonies to the ship. All others will need to make their own way to the harbour. The easiest way from Senate Square to the harbour is to use tram # 7 from the Senaatintori stop in the direction of the west terminal or tram # 9 from the railroad station in the direction of the west terminal.

Where can a Helsinki city transport ticket be purchased?

Vantaa airport has a train which goes into the city, tickets can be purchased from automatic ticket machines.  24 hour city transport tickets are also available from these machines. More info HERE >>

If I’m not staying overnight on the Silja Europa ship, when can I disembark in Tallinn?

The ship will arrive in Tallinn D-terminal on June 28th at 22.00 and you may leave the ship from 22.00 to 00.45.

From where do the ESTO busses depart for Tartu the next morning?

Since many of the ESTOnians are spending the night on the ship, busses heading to Tartu will leave from the D-terminal (Tallink terminal) parking lot Saturday morning, June 29th, at  9.00. Boarding at 8.30.

NB! D-terminal will be under construction until the summer of 2020.

What accommodation has been organised in Tartu?

ESTO pass-holders will receive help finding a hotel from our partner Estravel, contact groups@estravel.ee. Everyone else will need to organise their own accommodation.
